2015 Dixie Fellowship Info

March 30, 2015 By eswau.net

Back to the Dixie

Dixie Fellowship will be held April 24-26th at Belk Scout Camp in Midland, NC. It will be a weekend jammed packed with events: the Quest for the Golden Arrow, Ceremonial, Dance, and Sing competitions, and don’t forget the training sessions that can help you get a boost in your role in the Order of the Arrow.

The theme this year is “Remembering the Past, Honoring the Future“. Chosen as both a reflection on the past 100 years of the Order of the Arrow and an encouragement for all Arrowmen to use that foundation of cheerful service to make the Order, Scouting, and our world a better place as we move forward.

Here’s some info that will help you in planning for your trip to Dixie this year:

Camping at Dixie
Campsites do not have tents, platforms, or shelters. There is no electricity or bathrooms in campsites. There are a very limited number of showers. Our lodge has been assigned Camp Site #7 at Belk Scout Camp.

Dining at Dixie
All meals will be prepared and served at the camp Dining Hall. Dining will be outside under the large tents.

Parking
Parking is limited – please carpool as much as possible.

Check-in and Check-out
Lodges will drive down to their campsites, drop off gear, then drive back out to the parking areas. For check out there will be shuttle buses to parking, then you’ll have to drive back into the campsite to get your gear and leave.

Communications
Belk Scout Camp has very weak cell reception throughout most of the camp. Radios are suggested for lodge communications.
