2026 Camp Day of Service/Beaver Day

February 26, 2026 By Eswau Huppeday Communications Chair

As you are aware, our council relies on volunteer service to prepare Camp Bud Schiele for operation each year. Our Lodge is opening their annual Camp Day of Service (Beaver Day), March 7, 2026, to all Scouts BSA scouts in the Piedmont Council. The purpose of Camp Day of Service (Beaver Day) is to have Scouts BSA scouts and their unit leaders complete work projects around camp property for the upcoming camping season, while having a great opportunity filled with friendship and fellowship with other fellow scouts and scouters. This event is free of charge and the Lodge Cook Team will provide lunch, but it is important that you register so we have an accurate head count.

While individual camping is not allowed at this event, Scouts BSA, Venture Crews, and Ships are welcome to camp for the weekend.

Regardless of whether you’re camping or not, please register on the council website so that we have an accurate head count to prepare lunch.

Unfortunately, because of the likelihood of severe inclement weather, CIS 2026 has been cancelled.

The 2026 Carolinas Indian Seminar will be hosted by Eswau Huppeday Lodge at Mitchell Community College from January 23-25, 2026.
