2025 Camp Day of Service/Beaver Day

February 17, 2025 By Eswau Huppeday Communications Chair

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Downed-Tree-Waterfront-Fence-1-1024x576.jpg

As you are aware, our camp suffered massive damage when Helene came through the area. While professionals have been called in to clear the fallen trees, there is still much work to be done to make Camp Bud Schiele ready for camping. To help restore our camp, the Order of the Arrow is opening their annual Camp Day of Service (Beaver Day), March 1, 2025, to all Scouts BSA scouts in the Piedmont Council. The purpose of Camp Day of Service (Beaver Day) is to have Scouts BSA scouts and their unit leaders complete work projects around camp property for the upcoming camping season while having a great opportunity filled with friendship and fellowship with other fellow scouts and scouters. This event is free of charge and the Lodge Cook Team will provide lunch, but it is important that you register so we have an accurate head count.

Previously the Camp Day of Service was a camping weekend for those who wished to do so, but Camp Bud Schiele is NOT open for camping at this time. We also ask that only Scouts BSA-aged youth and adults attend this event.
