2019 Vigil Honor Nominations

May 14, 2019 By eswau.net

vigil honor nominations

The Vigil Honor is unique. It is the highest honor that an Order of the Arrow Lodge can bestow on its members. The Vigil honor is not earned; it is given to honor someone for going above and beyond the description of his or her position in scouting, for the greater good the lodge and Scouting.

Under no circumstances should tenure in Scouting or the Order of the Arrow be considered as reason enough for a Vigil Honor recommendation.

To be eligible for consideration for the Vigil Honor, an Arrowman must have been a Brotherhood member for at least two years at the time of the Lodge Vigil selection meeting; and a member in good standing with the Piedmont Council, BSA and Eswau Huppeday Lodge #560 (registered with dues paid).

All brothers in the list below are verified eligible for nomination of the Vigil Honor. They are grouped by Chapter. Both adults and youth can be nominated.

To nominate a brother, use the online nomination form below.

Thanks for Helping at Beaver Day

March 7, 2019 By eswau.net

eswau-beaver-day-thanks

Thank you to everyone that came out for the 2019 Beaver Day. We had over 150 folks show up this year to provide service to our camp and the many hands made light work several key projects we were able to complete. Thank you for preparing our camp for both Dixie Fellowship and Summer Camp.

We hope you’ll join us again next year too! Save the Date – Saturday, March 7, 2020

You can camp on Friday night and/or Saturday night. Lunch and a Beaver Day patch are free on Saturday and you can purchase breakfast on Saturday for a small fee with pre-registration.

Fall Fellowship will now be held the weekend of October 5-7th.

Our Lodge Chief will be contacting those involved with planning to see how the date change will affect those able to attend.

For those that have prepaid for the weekend, and unable to attend, please contact Jimmy Arthurs to discuss options.
