American Indian Affairs Kickoff 2014
To start our 50th anniversary year strong in our American Indian Affairs, we are going to be having a Kickoff for the year on the day of Winter Banquet – Saturday January 4, 2014.
We’ll meet as one large group and then break off into teams, which will allow everyone to experience all different arenas of the OA-AIA world.
Newcomers to AIA can expect insightful group work sessions while retuning members can improve their performance and help guide others.
We want to have as much attendance as possible so that we can have a great year. So come out sing, dance, make regalia, and participate in ceremonies.

Lodge Leadership Development 2013

Lodge Leadership Development (LLD) will be held at First United Methodist Church of Hickory on Saturday October 12th starting at 9:00am. Lunch and snacks will be served, the cost is $8.
There will also a *Planning Meeting at 8:00pm on Friday October 11th at the same location.
LLD is a day of training sessions for our new Chiefs, Chairmen, and Advisers. Also anyone interested in helping with the 50th Anniversary Celebration is encouraged to come as well.
The meeting will be in the Church’s community room, most easily accessed by entering the church on the west side, closest to the Patrick Beaver Library, Catawba Science center, Hickory Art Museum (also know as the SALT block). There is parking on that side of the church, but also in the back of the church.
Two things of note for Saturday:
- There is a wedding taking place at the church, so be respectful when entering and leaving.
- Hickory Oktoberfest is being held all weekend, so there will be increased traffic in the area but an opportunity for you and/or send your significant other(s) to visit the festival.
The *planning meeting on Friday evening will start at 8:00pm. This meeting is to discuss some things that will be changing within the E-Board and some planning for the upcoming year.
Needed at this meeting are the: Lodge Chief, Treasurer, Secretary, VCP, VCA, VCIA, and the Activities and Communications Chairmen along with the advisors for all for mentioned committees.
If you’d like, you can spend the night in the church. Just bring your sleeping bag/cot. You don’t have to wear anything scouting for the Friday meeting, but do have Class A’s ready for Saturday morning.
Fall Fellowship – Sept. 27-29
