Congratulations! You made it through your Ordeal, and now you have a new white sash. You are now a full fledged member of Scouting’s National Honor Society, the Order of the Arrow and a member of the Eswau Huppeday lodge.
Now What?
Is that all there is to OA? Not by a long shot! Completing your Ordeal is just the first step of what can be a long but very rewarding journey.
OA JumpStart
Checkout the OA JumpStart website.
JumpStart will explain what happened during your Ordeal and the meaning behind it. JumpStart will also get you started on your next step, preparing for Brotherhood membership.
Start Planning for Brotherhood Membership
As an Ordeal member, you are a full fledged member of the lodge. You can attend events, take a leadership role, etc., but you should consider sealing your membership by earning your Brotherhood. Earning your Brotherhood not only helps you by learning more about the OA, it also helps the lodge.
Your Order of the Arrow handbook, which you received at the end of your Ordeal contains all of the information you need to know for Brotherhood membership. Even if you aren’t ready to go after your Brotherhood sash, you should read through your handbook to learn more about the Order.
Get Involved!
Regardless of your age there are many opportunities in OA. Start by becoming active with your chapter. Not sure which chapter you belong to? Find out here.
