2015 Fall Fellowship Cart Race and Quest Events

Cart Race

The cart race at the 2015 Fall Fellowship will be based on a point system, not on which chapter finishes with the fastest time. The race will be judge by Bryce Cassel and Josh Trivett using the following points system:

  • Cart has all required parts – 10 points
  • Cart Theme – 10 points
  • Cart Design – 10 points
  • First Place – 10 points
  • Second Place – 7 points
  • Third Place – 4 points
  • Participation – 3 points

The race itself will be an exciting one beginning on land, then going onto the water, and back to dry land for the finish. A throw rope will be used to help you get your cart to the finish line. Here all the rules:

  1. each chapter may only submit one cart
  2. each cart must be able to carry at least one individual and other objects
  3. no motorized parts are allowed in the race or on the cart
  4. the use of any pre-made store bought parts are prohibited other than wheels and axles and each cart must have at least two wheels and a maximum of 16 wheelsThese Are The Rules
  5. no weaponry is acceptable
  6. each cart design must involve our theme of time and/or time travel – this can include our lodge’s history
  7. all parts of your cart that were brought with your chapter must leave with your chapter – the dumpster is not a cart disposal
  8. your cart must be able to float and be paddled or swam a fair distance
  9. each cart must have helmets and floatation devices for its runners/swimmers and rider or riders, plus a throw rope (15′ or longer) for the finish line
  10. if paddles or oars are used they may be crafted by the chapter or purchased from a store
  11. each chapter must have at least 2 participants and no more that 4 to race

If your chapter does not have enough participants coming to Fall Fellowship, Activities can combine chapters for the cart race and our other events.

Quest Events

Your chapter must have a team of 6 to compete in each of the following events:

  • kickball
  • volleyball
  • ultimate frisbee

In addition to the Cart Race and Quest Events, your chapter’s participation in the campfire program will count toward Quest. Use the form to submit your skit, song, or cheer to activities for approval.
